Lions International Peace Poster Competition

The Competition for 2010 is open to students who are 11, 12 or 13 years old on November 15, 2010.

The theme for the 2010 competition is ‘Vision of Peace.

Entrants may use a variety of mediums including charcoal, crayon, pencil and paint to express a new theme developed each year to spark their imagination. The works created are unique and express the young artist’s life experience and culture. There are guidelines which entries need to meet which include size, material and other criteria.

Results of the 2009 Competition

Our club President Joanne Sim congratulated Fiona Gao and  Karen Zhou-Zheng from Dundas Public School after receiving their Peace Poster winner’s and highly commended certificates for their entires in our 2009 competition.

Fiona Gao from Dundas Public School was named as the District Runner Up.  Fiona received an engraved plaque from District in recognition of her efforts and we look forward to Fiona’s entry for 2010-2011.

Margaret Talbot and Joanne Sim also congratulated James Sun, winner from Epping Boys High School entries in the 2009 Lions Peace Poster Competition . Both James’ and Fiona’s posters were entered into the District judging.
