District and International Conventions

• To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world.
• To unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.

These are two of the purposes of Lions which are achieved at the various conventions held on a local, national and international level.

Meeting other Lions should also be a feature of 2009-2010, not only as we travel to Bomaderry for the District Convention, but in June and July 2010, Sydney will be hosting Lions from around the world as we are the location for next year’s International Convention.

It promises to be a wonderful event with an expected 25,000 Lions travelling Downunder and the Lions of this District have been asked to consider being a volunteer for the event.
