Our members helped bring Christmas Cheer to Beecroft, with Santa coming to visit in the Village Arcade, children’s Christmas craft workshops for making Christmas tree decorations and gifts, Gingerbread House making and our traditional Lions Christmas Cakes!
Santa’s Coming to Beecroft for Photos!

Santa made Pre-Christmas visits to Beecroft Village Arcade on 3rd and 10th December 2011 between 10am and 12pm.
Children were welcome to come along and enjoy meeting Santa and parents could take their photo with Santa if they wish.
Children’s Christmas Craft – Making presents for your family!
Santa’s elves helped children make presents for their families, at the Christmas workshop in the Beecroft Village Arcade on the 3rdth and 10th December 2011 between 10am and 12pm.
Gingerbread House Making

An evening building and decorating Gingerbread Houses for Christmas was held on Thursday 8 December 2011 at 6.30 pm Cheltenham Recreation Club 60-74 The Crescent, Cheltenham NSW 2119. Gingerbread house kits and a range of lollies and icing were on hand to create wonderful houses covered in lollies to take home for Christmas.
Gingerbread dates back to the 10th Century. The harder German-style Gingerbread is often used to build Gingerbread Houses similar to the “witch’s house” in the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. These houses are often built by children, helped by their parents and grandparents, and are covered with sweets, chocolates, and icing. They are now popular all over the world, particularly in Eurpoe and America as well as in Australia.
